We had planned on flying to Taylor on the 13^th hoping that we could get the nice folks there to put-on one of their outstanding breakfast cookouts but due to a scheduling conflict, they can not accommodate our fly-in.  The restaurant that I had in mind is a rather small place and I am not sure if they could accommodate a sudden influx of 20+ starving aviators plus, I am not sure that the “airport limo” is still available.  With that in mind how about we switch gears a little and move the destination to Benson on the 3^rd Saturday of July?  The folks at Southwestern Aviation sponsor and event that they affectionately call “can’t pass gas Saturday”.  They have a pancake breakfast cookout along with discounts on fuel for the event.  We could be there at 0800 to have breakfast and get back to the valley before noon to help keep from getting beaten-up by the heat and thermals.  Check-out their web site at Southwestern Aviation.com
