We will meet at Deer Valley restaurant for brunch at 11:00am and I will present an hour of academics, then we will fly out for our training.

The topic for February will be Takeoffs--how to determine sufficient speed exists to continue a takeoff from a short strip. The actual strip will be plenty long, but we will mark off a simulated short field for the purpose of practicing the technique. The aim point markings, touchdown point and abort point will be marked as well so that after the takeoff, participants will come back around to practice the landing.
