Brief Description:

The airspace south of the Phoenix Metro region is a very congested and heavily used area from F-35s and F-16s in the western side to airline ops on the eastern side, with jump activity, helicopter ops, and training flights in between.  In this this 1-1/2 hour seminar FAA Safety Team Lead Representative and Arizona Aviation Safety Advisory Group President, Cary Grant, will discuss the area's "Hot Spots", users, and best practices pilots should be aware of when flying though or using this area for training activities.

Directions to Venue:

Head south out of Phoenix on I10 and the Loop 202 to SR 347, John Wayne Parkway, approximately 3.4 Miles to Exit 164.  Use the right 2 lanes to take exit164 for AZ-347S/Queen Creek Rd. Turn right onto
AZ-347 S/N John Wayne Pkwy/E Queen Creek Rd. Continue to follow AZ-347 S/N John Wayne Pkwy.
Pass by Arby's (on the right in 14.5 mi), continue straight onto N John Wayne Pkwy/N Maricopa Rd.  Take
W Maricopa-Casa Grande Hwy to the southeast using the right lane to turn slightly to the right onto N Maricopa Rd.  Continue southeast on Maricopa-Casa Grande Hwy to N Russel Rd, approximately 9.8 miles.  Turn left on to Russel Rd to Bud Rd, approximately 1.1 miles.  Take Bud Road to the Alpha Kilo Hangar

If flying to the event, after landing proceed to the Alpha Kilo Hangar ramp area, north east of the self-fuel pumps to park.   If the ramp is full, follow the marshaller's direction to park.
