In its 41st year, this year’s fly-in — scheduled for Thurs., Oct . 24, 2013 - Sat., Oct. 26, 2013 at the Casa Grande Municipal Airport in Ca sa Grande, Ariz. — promises to be no exception.\n\n\nOver the years, COPPER STATE has grown exponentially, attracting about 500 aircraft and 5,000 atte ndees per year representing 10 countries and 40 U.S. states.\n\n\nAttendees particularly enjoy the wide variety of aircraft on the ground and in the a ir — from ultralights, to WWII fighter jets, to “micro-jets” and much more. And, we receive many compliments on how family-friendly the event is: Over 1,000 people attend COPPERSTATE’s workshops and forums every year, and sev eral dozen kids participate in our youth activities, including a wing rib-b uilding workshop.\n\n\nThe annual aircraft judging awards banquet, held on Saturday night of the event, is another crowd-pleaser, attracting about 100 participants per year.\n\n\nLast (but certainly not least), COPPERSTATE al so plays host to about 50 diverse exhibitors.
