 \n\n\nThe AZ FAASTeam is being supported by the Western Maricopa Education 
 Center (West-Mec). We'd like to recognize Troy Gabaldon, the Aviation Direc
 tor, Shannon, the receptionist, and Terry Menees, Aviation Instructor, for 
 their personal contributions to the FAASTeam. West-Mec provides facilities,
  personnel and logistical support for these FAASTeam seminars.\n\n\nRunway 
 incursions are a major factor in aviation safety. While many things have be
 en done to reduce the accident rate in General Aviation and the Air Carrier
  Industry, both sides of the aviation house are still experiencing far too 
 many runway incursions. This could be the result of "Read back - Hear back"
  issues, poor airport signage, pilot inattention/knowledge or a combination
  of factors. Runway safety is a major concern for all pilots and if you hav
 e been around aviation for a long period of time you have probably seen som
 e close calls on the runways and taxiways, or even been involved in some yo
 urself. Come learn about this Airport and give your input to the Team so th
 ey can work on improving the airport for all who fly there. (iPAD AVIATION 
 APPLICATIONS COVERED IN THIS WORKSHOP INCLUDE VISUAL AND AUDIO ALERTS FOR A
 VOIDING RUNWAY INCURSIONS.)\n\n\nPilot airspace deviations continue to be a
  major risk in the national airspace system. To reduce the chance that you 
 might be involved in an airspace deviation incident, you are highly encoura
 ged to take an on-line learning center course such as ALC 42, ALC 154, and 
 ALC90 on www.faasafety.gov. Or search the learning library for associated g
 uidance on airspace incursions. Remember, safe and prudent airmen have supe
