knowledgement of Industry Sponsor(s):\nThe AZ FAASTeam is being supported b
y, and we'd like to recognize, the Falcon Field Airport Director, Corinne N
ystrom, the Copperstate Fly-In Board of Directors, the CopperState Fly-In F
orums Chair John Harlow and the Treasurer and Exhibit Chairman Marty Kirkhu
ff for their personal contributions to the FAASTeam. They provide facilitie
s, personnel and logistical support for this annual FAASTeam seminar conduc
ted as part of the CopperState Fly-In attracting airmen from all over Arizo
 na.\n\n\n*Seminar runs approximately 09:00 A.M.--11:00 A.M.*\n\n\nAll Forum
s during Copperstate are included in the price of Admission. There is not a
separate fee to attend any of the forums.\n\n\nRunway incursions are a maj
or factor in aviation safety. While many things have been done to reduce th
e accident rate in General Aviation and the Air Carrier Industry, both side
s of the aviation house are still experiencing far too many runway incursio
ns. This could be the result of "Read back - Hear back" issues, poor airpor
t signage, pilot inattention/knowledge or a combination of factors. Runway
safety is a major concern for all pilots and if you have been around aviati
on for a long period of time you have probably seen some close calls on the
runways and taxiways, or even been involved in some yourself. Come learn a
bout this Airport and give your input to the Team so they can work on impro
ving the airport for all who fly there.\n\n\nPilot airspace deviations cont
inue to be a major risk in the national airspace system. To reduce the chan
ce that you might be involved in an airspace deviation incident, you are hi
ghly encouraged to take an on-line learning center course such as ALC 42, A
LC 154, and ALC90 on www.faasafety.gov. Or search the learning library for
associated guidance on airspace incursions. Remember, safe and prudent airm
en have superior situational awareness and have a plan to keep it that way.
