\n\n\nAdditional Event Information & Acknowledgement of Industry Sp
onsor(s):\nThe FAASTeam wishes to acknowledge and thank the City of Prescot
t and the Ernest A. Love Airport Adminstration for the use of their facilit
ies.\n\n\nRunway incursions are a major factor in aviation safety. While ma
ny things have been done to reduce the accident rate in General Aviation an
d the Air Carrier Industry, both sides of the aviation house are still expe
riencing far too many runway incursions. This could be the result of "Read
back - Hear back" issues, poor airport signage, pilot inattention/knowledge
, expectation bias, or a combination of factors. Runway safety is a major c
oncern for all pilots and if you have been around aviation for a long perio
d of time you have probably seen some close calls on the runways and taxiwa
ys, or even been involved in some yourself.\n\n\nPilot airspace deviations
continue to be a major risk in the national airspace system. To reduce the
chance that you might be involved in an airspace deviation incident, you ar
e highly encouraged to take an on-line learning center course such as ALC 4
2, ALC 154, and ALC90 on www.faasafety.gov, or search the learning library
for associated guidance on airspace incursions. Remember, safe and prudent
airmen have superior situational awareness and have a plan to keep it that
way.\n\n\nThanks! A message from your local FAASTeam.\n\n\nEqual Access Inf
ormation:\nThe FAA Safety Team (FAASTeam) is committed to providing equal a
ccess to this meeting/event for all participants. If you need alternative f
ormats or services because of a disability, please communicate your request
as soon as possible with the person in the “Contact Information&rdqu

d to arrange services.\n\n\nCredit Applicability:\n1 Credit for Basic Knowl
