edgement of Industry Sponsor(s):\nThe AZ FAASTeam is being supported by the
Arizona State University Aviation Education Program. We'd like to recogniz
e Professor Jimmy Kimberly, AZ FAASTeam Rep., Mark O'Brien, Chair Aviation
Program, Dr. James Collofello, Senior Asst. Dean Academic & Student Aff
airs for their personal contribution to the FAASTeam. ASU provides faciliti
es, personnel and logistical support for these FAASTeam seminars.\n\n\nRunw
ay incursions are a major factor in aviation safety. While many things have
been done to reduce the accident rate in General Aviation and the Air Carr
ier Industry, both sides of the aviation house are still experiencing far t
oo many runway incursions. This could be the result of "Read back - Hear ba
ck" issues, poor airport signage, pilot inattention/knowledge or a combinat
ion of factors. Runway safety is a major concern for all pilots and if you
have been around aviation for a long period of time you have probably seen
some close calls on the runways and taxiways, or even been involved in some
yourself. Come learn about this Airport and give your input to the Team so
they can work on improving the airport for all who fly there.\n\n\n*Semina
r runs approximately 9am-11am*\n\n\nPilot airspace deviations continue to b
e a major risk in the national airspace system. To reduce the chance that y
ou might be involved in an airspace deviation incident, you are highly enco
uraged to take an on-line learning center course such as ALC 42, ALC 154, a
nd ALC90 on www.faasafety.gov, or search the learning library for associate
d guidance on airspace incursions. Remember, safe and prudent airmen have s
uperior situational awareness and have a plan to keep it that way.\n\n\nTha
nks! A message from your local FAASTeam.\n\n\n \n\n\nEqual Access Info
rmation:\nThe FAA Safety Team (FAASTeam) is committed to providing equal ac
cess to this meeting/event for all participants. If you need alternative fo
rmats or services because of a disability, please communicate your request
as soon as possible with the person in the “Contact Information” area of th
e meeting/event notice. Note that two weeks is usually required to arrange
