This workshop is intended to help familiarize you with the application so that i t is an aid in the cockpit and not a distraction.\n\n\nPreflight planning i s the first step in a successful and safe flight. Electronic Flight Bags ca n simplify the process of preflight planning and bring most of the informat ion you need such as runway lengths, fuel required, expected weather, and o ther vital information to one place. This workshop will teach you how to us e the EFB to efficiently plan your intended flights.\n\n\nOnce in the air, situational awareness is the key to the successful completion of the flight . Learn how the EFB can bring traffic and weather into your cockpit and hel p you avoid midair collisions and inadvertent flight into IMC, one of the m ost deadly mistakes pilots can make - even those with an instrument rating. In addition, your facilitator will cover overall use of the EFB in all pha ses of flight.\n\n\nRunway incursions continue to be a significant problem for the GA community. Come learn how the aviation applications covered in t his workshop can help, so you do not become the next runway incursion stati stic.\n\n\nPilot airspace deviations, including pilots 'busting' TFRs, are another area of concern for the GA community. The aviation applications cov ered in this workshop can provide a significant increase in situational awa reness with respect to airspace.
